Bracket?

This bracket (and nut) was in the box that A1 Cardone sent me with my water pump.  I did not send it to them and they do not want it back.  Anyone know what it could possibly go to.  There are no marks or numbers on it but a single S.

It looks like an original Ford bracket...especially with the stamped "S" as I have seen on other Ford parts.  It may be for another application though such as a Bronco... It's anyone's guess..
