Topic: 1965 Mustang with no Windshield Washers?

For cars without the windshield washers added, what happens to the thru-holes in the cowl panel as well as the screw holes in the cowl? Did they get sealed with anything or just left open? For reference, my Car is a K-code from Metuchen with a build of Feb-Mar 1965. Thanks.

Sometimes the holes were filled with a piece or strip caulking, sometimes they weren't.  Most judges expect them to be filled though.
