Door Window Adjustment hardware
« on: June 25, 2013, 12:01:49 PM »
Guys, I have a couple questions concerning the adjustment hardware used with the door glass channels and vent window frames. Here is a link to a picture of the type of hardware I am referring to:

(1) What was the factory finish? Zinc phosphate?
(2) Are these bolts reproduced by AMK or anyone (I don't see them in AMK's catalog)? OR must the originals be re-plated?

Which ones, all of them?  Link is for a 65-66, this is 67-68 ...

Believe most of them were phosphate and oil, but without more clarity not sure what items you are referring to.

If you meant the allen head set screws with ring/washer, they are not reproduced as far as I could find a while back.  The rest of the hardware, if not exact is available from AMK in "very close"

If the hardware is only lightly rusted soak it in Evaporust and reoil. I have also had good luck junk yarding for good hardware.
