Topic: More 64 1/2 carpet questions

1. Code 42 white with blue accents. Carpet is blue, sides are white. Does the vinyl match the carpet color or the interior primary color.  Did a search and got two different answers.

2. Where the blazes do the ten screws in the AMK bag go? I can only see the four on the front of the seat platforms.

Dave,
  The carpet is supposed to use 8 screws without a console, 6 with. I've seen early 65 Dearborn Hardtops with 4 so it may be an assembly line decision (done by a guy on the line?). The 10 pack is AMK packaging.

The vinyl glued to the inner rockers should match the primary color of the interior, which in this case would be white.

It's actually in the MCA rulebook, so shame on the MCA judges for giving out wrong info!   

G. Carpet: Original molded type correct color for interior. 64½ - no toe pad. 64½-early 65 - (except convertible) must have serge edges except at firewall and vinyl strip from floor pan to scuff plate. Vinyl strip is color-keyed to kick panel. No dimmer switch grommet in carpet. Convertibles may have rubber pad on dimmer switch. Carpet on top of firewall pad ........................................... 5
