DSO code of 75

My 1964.5 Mustang built at San Jose has a DSO code of 75.  Supposedly this code not valid until 1967.  What gives?

Might want to get a new reference book ;)  According to some of the ones I have DSO 75 was used.

Believe could have started (printed one place then repeated over and over again in other reference books) with one of the MPC versions that missed a few details :(

Did you try this website. DSO 75 comes up as Phoenix. Dependent upon plant information. Put your data tag info in and see if it kicks out the same.

DSO 75 for Phoenix is a valid code and has been used for Ford Motor car destinations before Mustang. It's referenced in the Mustang Production guide Vol 1 without any special notation.

..............  i KNOW 75 IS PHOENIX, BUT THEN WHY DOESN'T IT SHOW UP?

Because the person got their information from the wrong (read incorrect) resource as mentioned earlier. I would guess that 60% + of the books that have been written and in turn people quoting and using those resources account for the reoccurring repetitive usage and application of that bad info

Normally they miss the "O" rear end code and a few other things also over and over again

YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.  AT THIS WEB SITE: http://www.tpocr.com/fordbp3.html i FOUND "75" (PHOENIX) LISTED IN A 1963 FORD PUBLICATION.  MAKES A LOT OF SENSE AS MY CAR HAD ABSOLUTELY NO BODY RUST  AND JUST A LITTLE INTERIOR FLOOR PAN RUST.  AS FAR AS I KNOW THE CARE HAS NEVER LEFT ARIZONA.  THANKS FOR THE HELP.

DSO 75 is not listed in my original 66 Shop Manual  Pg. 1-4.  That may have helped with the misinformation ?  Brian
