1966 Neutral Safety Switch Wiring
« on: May 04, 2013, 08:36:30 AM »
I am looking for pictures of the routing and attaching points (if any) for the neutral safety/ backup light wiring harness from the switch on the transmission up to the pigtail hanging out of the firewall as well as the routing around the wiring harness exiting the firewall immediately below the pig tail.  This is a 1966 (Feb '66) Dearborn 6 cylinder automatic coupe.

Just took these photos yesterday before I removed my firewall blanket. I hope they help but note that this is from a 66 SJ May 21 coupe w/ 4 speed.
Ask if you need any clarification or more photos.

Thanks for the great set of pictures with narrative.  Unfortunately, I have an automatic and the neutral safety / backup light wire harness runs from the switch on the front left side of the transmission body, up the outside of the firewall to the top and then through it behind the right side instrument cluster.

Sorry can't get far with this one right now -

Pigtail - Out of the firewall through the plastic S shaped windshield washer hose retainer then down to the transmission loom

Sorry not real clear - had to blow them up a bit
