May 70 Dearborn B2.

In reference to the clamps that go under the front valve cover bolts that secure rev limiter wiring harness, I have the 2 following questions:

1. At the end where the bolt goes through, is the clamp squared off, or is it clipped at the 2 back corners? I have what I think is an original one and it is squared, yet most of what I see, as well as the repops are clipped.

2. For the rev limiter harness, is there  just one clamp (if so which one?), or do both the front bolts have a clamp? The assembly manual shows one on the lower bolt, and the upper bolt is obscured in the drawing, however most examples I see has the clamp on the upper bolt.

Thanks again,

Tony

Hi guys, I'm a real newbie to this site but not to the car, I've had my BOSS 2 for a long time. In fact I ordered it new back in 70. It was the only way I could get my favorite color, and rear gears. To the point though, I agree with Jeff on the location of this wire clip (the OE clips are notched corners) but feel we should mention that most B2s came with 2 more (sometimes 1) of these clips on the top two bolts of the same valve cover to carry the engine feed and the carb solenoid wires. The best thing is, of the three pictures Jeff posted the bottom picture shows a seldom seen part. If you noticed the green oil pressure sender unit you win 10 points. I believe that is a C8AZ-9278-A and is unique to tach dash cars. It was OE on B2&9s and not serviced very long. Other than my car I rarely seen one. This is not written in stone and is a recollection of timely guy and I'm open to other observations. Thanks for reading. Rich

OK I'm ordering two more clips, makes sense for the engine feed. Thanks Jeff and Oneowner. Oneowner I would love to see pictures of your car. Lucky Man, I'm jealous.

Rich you are correct about the oil temp sender but there were 2 types both c8az #s & the green ones I see on 428 cj cars but the B9s I see the taller black type.  I think its a vendor to engine plant thing.
