Blower motor paint marking

This blower motor is from a Sept 64 Dearborn car, 2spd three wire.
I noticed this paint mark on the end of the motor, has anyone seen
paint marks such as this on them? Didn't know if it should be there or not.

Never seen that one  before (any year and plant).   Is it over or under the black paint?

It seems to be over the black paint, I have other blower motors
with no paint mark on them.
If I use this motor I'll just paint over it then.
