They're all the same for a '65 V8, 6.825" long.

Thanks Charles!! Thats what I kind of thought.
My Brother-In-Law (who gave us the car) had often told me back in the old days he was bending pushrods in the engine and they were special material of some kind and couldn't be replaced with "standard" 289 pushrods.....he was bumping the timing all he could and using Avgas in it!!-lol

Most pushrods are case-hardened steel, so they don't bend easily.  Most likely was some over-revving of the engine or rockers out of adjustment to cause them to bend.

I think BOTH over-reving and rockers out of adjustment were the culpret-lol

Did you by chance see the feature on our car in the Feb issue of MM?

Yes, was a nice article, congrats!

Just wish my Brother-In-law could have seen it....at least he got to see the car fresh out of the restoration, AND DRIVE IT along with his Sister (my Wife) just like they had so many times before I came along.

Yes, was a nice article, congrats!

Donald did a GREAT job on the feature as far as I am concerned.

THEN I got a call from the "In The News" outfit wanting to mount the article for me to display.....an expense that is/was hard right now to afford for us.

Then I inquired to MM to get additional copies for family & friends and was told $7.99 per issue!!

25 years + subscriber and I was being asked to pay $3.00 more than newsstand price??

I contacted Donald & he sent me 10 at n/c, Donald has been great all through this, but I wouldn't have thought I'd have to trouble the editor for this.

Vicki picked up 3 copies at 2 different Barnes & Noble stores, as WalMart & Publix stopped carrying MM

(I am still unemployeed and it still sucks)

-Sorry for the rant on my PUSHROD thread.
