Topic: Engineering Numbers on Rear Seat Padding

I just started recovering my rear seats on my 66 sprint convertible and came across this alpha numeric code on the burlap sewn to the padding on the bottom rear seat (C4ZB 7668?0 B ). Haven't seen this before but this is only my 3rd restoration. Is this common?

That looks like a good way to identify an item. The parts ID methods Ford used were numerous and varied from year to year, plant to plant and suppliers. I note that the part number includes the "76" indicating a convertible item.

 Well sort of - was there on all seat padding though after all these years its not often we see one as visible as yours since the backing often darkens allot obscuring the original print
