Looking for information on what the original drums would apply to my application - 67 SJ Dec 66 289.  The obvious I think is that it is a 1.75"x10" drum, 5 lug, no fins, and yes to brushed blackout on face since this is a SS wheel app.  The questions I have are: (1) style - i.e. "dual groove" or other; (2) manufacturer stamp, i.e. K/H, Century, or other; (3) FoMoCo stamp yes or no.  Thanks, John

First have to say I have not taken allot of pictures and notes about the physical features related to brake drums based on other drums and the other 67's I do have pictures of they likely used the same suppliers for most of all of the drums 

From what I can remember and see I would expect that they were case with K H and a casting date around the outer lip and a single groove on original drums.   Can't be sure about the FoMoCo or Ford castings like earlier drums

Agree with Jeff.  Have usually seen 'FoMoCo' cast into the edge, sometimes a date code is visible and then a manufacturer casting or ID mark (Bendix or K/H)

Drum brakes are interesting to study.  I'm seeing little differences here and there between the Bendix and K/H parts.  Not very many folks have paid attention to those details.

Thanks Jeff and Charles.  I've been digging and don't have anything definitive enough to add, so I'll be a consumer on this topic.  Based on some other posts, it probably safe to say that nothing with fins was used.  I would love to hear from some owners of originals.  John

Right, definitely no finned drums for 67.

Have plenty of original car photos just not many with the rear tires and wheels off. They seem to get testy at shows when we start pulling hubcaps and asking if we can use their original jack

Though I have seen them give Charles permission to climb around in the interior

While I can't say for certain that I have the original drums; as the second owner, car purchased in 1980, it is plausible.  This was a minimally touched car, just basic maintenance was done.  Here is a picture of one of the dual groove drums.  While in rough shape, I can make out a "K/H" stamping.  Does this type of drum appear correct?  Thanks John

That looks like a period-correct brake drum, but it looks like in the pic that the drum is on the inside edge of the backing plate?

Or the car has been dropped or driven on the drum and the edge broken off in that area

Have seen those edges broken by PO with large pry bars trying to pry off a stuck brake drum also

It is strange how the edges are so beat up.  Over zealous use of pry bars makes most sense to me.  I suppose it could have been dropped - but not if there would be collateral damage to the rocker or rear quarter panel - those were perfectly fine.
