Looking at some of the details - can you confirm that the car had at least one repaint on the exterior surfaces ?

Thanks for sharing

Yes one very low quality repaint.

As you can see however held the spraygun diden´t reach the bottom of the rockers, so the paint and underseal is for the most part as it was when it rolled of the assembley line.

The tape line at the transition from body color to engine compartment was the clue for me ;)

Just saw this. My day's car is 165858 and was made 5 days later. DSO or Kansas City.

First welcome to the site - hope you find the site helpful

Just a mention - we really don't know when these built, assuming that you got your date from  the door tag/plate, that date was a guess made by the office at the plant were the order was first received. Examples of production suggest that date can be off as much as three weeks earlier or later - pretty wide range

Again... welcome to out site

Hi Jesper, welcome!

What are your plans for the car?

If your tearing down for a restore please keep posting pics, I'm currently working on a early Dearborn convertible.

Thanks for sharing :)

I've heard that about production.  I should have said his door tag has a date 5 days later to be correct.

I've really enjoyed snooping around this site already.  Tons of info.  Thanks for having me!

A very interesting part is the parking light contains the early ground from the backing plate nut to the fender.  I would have thought this was gone from production by this time.  The head light harness must be early as well
