64 1/2 Air Cleaner and Engine Spec decal
« on: October 26, 2012, 10:03:31 PM »
On a 64 1/2 289 D code which is the correct air cleaner "289 4v" decal? The orange and black checkers or the black and white checkers?

Also.... the engine spec decal. I have ordered and received 2 different versions. A "chrome" looking one and a "silver" looking decal. Which is correct there?

And one more please :)  Should the "Air Cleaner Service" decal be silver with a black border and black writing, OR black and white with "Use Ford Genuine Replacement Parts" on the left side (in white letters/black background) and "For Service Instructions....." on the right side (in black letters on white background). Hope that wasn't too confusing! :) I can add pics if necessary.

Thanks for the help. So many different decals to choose in catalogs is crazy! :o

Is the question related to your July 27, 64 car?

If so is this a San Jose or Dearborn built car???  ;)

Orange and black checkers for a 2V application.  Orange and white checkers for a 4V application.

Any suggestions for the other 2 decals? I was wondering if the "chrome" looking engine spec decal was a concours and the flat silver a standard version or vice versa.  Also any other ideas on the air cleaner spec decal?  Thanks for any help. ;)
