Correct Finishes - C6ZE-A Fan Clutch
« on: September 10, 2012, 11:18:01 AM »
Can someone tell me the correct finishes for a C6ZE-A fan clutch for my '66 San Jose A-code  A/C car?  Is the sheet metal cover on the front clear zinc or zinc dichromate (gold) or ???  I assume the remainder of the clutch is dark bare metal or zinc phosphate look on the steel parts and as cast aluminum on the finned aluminum part?

I am thinking of sending this to "Vinny" at Pampered Corvettes for restoration unless someone has a better idea.

Thanks Bob.  I wasn't sure if I could trust Vinny to know the finish, so I was going to coach him.  The "Corvettes" thing had me concerned  ::)

Yeah but that normally refers to plastic and fiberglass...not metal!  LOL
