68 E-brake cables
« on: August 25, 2012, 05:14:36 AM »
How long was the OEM rubber cover on the spiral wrap ends of the cables?  Same both sides?

Restoring a set and the orginal was mostly gone...

thanks... thats close to my 68 SJ S code, but I did not recall if they cables on it were OEM or not... been a while since the restoration... now to figure out how best to get new ones on.

Looking like I'll just spiral cut a proper size hose as there's no way I can see to slip a new one on without taking pressed parts off, which I don't really want to deal with....

Some will slit the rubber protector hose and then glue it back together after it is in place but the seam always seems to be visible.

Just sharing what others have tried
