Topic: Phosphated 69 hood latch, correct shade?

Just tried the zinc phosphate and oil treatment on the hood latch. Came out real nice, but, is it the correct shade for a 6/19/69 Dearborn built Mach 1 R code?

Nice, and welcome to the forum. I think it may be a bit too dark as over time most of my hinges, latches and other phosphated items turn darker. And oil it well.

Hard to make double sure on the internet considering all the variables but sure looks like its in the neighborhood
