After searching for years, I finally found a super nice dashpad. Pad came out of a 49K mile garaged it's whole life coupe. The pad is also the correct color for my application, dark brown. The only thing that keeps it from looking like 1968 and unused is you can see where the top was exposed to the sun very very faintly. It could also be where it was wiped down over the years but once again this is very faint.
I will not redye this pad because it is so nice, the color is great, grid is absolutely mint, what I'm wondering is if there is anything you can rub onto the sun area (which are ever so faint) to bring the exact color back, it looks as if you could moisturize the area and that would do the trick. Would it be best to leave it alone and have that original patina?
