2+2 fastback
« on: July 13, 2012, 09:44:37 AM »
In 65 when Ford introduced the fastback body it was promoted as a 2+2 fastback. My question is why then did not all of the cars get the 2+2 scripts on them? I have heard that Ford made some fixed seat models. That would explain it but I have never seen one.

Other than GT models, all other 65-66 fastbacks should have had the 2+2 emblems.

Have not heard of any fixed rear seat 65-66 fastbacks.

The factory did not offer fixed rear seats for 65-66 Fastbacks, 2 + 2 or GT. I have seen a few dealer modifications to 65-66 rear seats and I know at least one owner who added a bracket to a Shelby's rear seat (I razz him mercylessly about it).

Agree with Charles - all except GT with (unless PO modified) and all with fold downs on production cars (not sure of the June built promos but those really don't count
