Alternator Spacers
« on: June 20, 2012, 01:14:13 PM »
Recent posts have reminded me of question;  why the different colored spacers ?  Aren't they all the same diameter, length and slotted ?   The spacers on my 65 and 69 are the same dimensions just different colors.  Brian

I do think the big block spacers are shorter then the small block spaces.

There are a significant amount of spacers that are similar. Alternator spacers, 6 cylinder, small block, and big block.

Additionally spacers were used on the thermactor smog pumps, again, for 6 cylinder, small block, and big block.

round spacers were also used on PS installation when AC was not an option - not all are color coded
