Parts needed for late 1964 Mustang Fastback
« on: May 08, 2012, 01:29:06 AM »
Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of restoring a historically significant Mustang in time, I hope, for the 50th anniversary in 2014. This Mustang has an assumed order/build date, from the door tag, of October 26, 1964 .  The only problem is that the car is missing some parts in order to keep the process going. If anyone has any of these parts or knows of a lead I would appreciate hearing from you. I

Well, I hit the wrong key and posted this before I needed to, what else would you expect from a "newbie".
I am trying to restore this car as accurately as possible.  Here are some of the original parts we need;

Carlite window glass, rear, front and sides for a fastback dated before November, 1964.

Group 22 Autolite production-line battery.

Negative ground battery cable.

Hipo or GT Rear springs or at least the shortest leaf with the numbers C4ZA-5556-S , then the numbers between 214 to 303, and then an E and then a 4.

6 bolt Aluminum bellhousing  for a  4 speed, dated August or September 1964.

Fuel sending unit for the gas tank, C4ZF-9275-B, dated Aug, Sept, Oct. 1964 , must be in nice condition.

Original 289 spark plug wires that say "RADIO RESISTANCE" and have the FoMoCo boots.

Very nice fastback rear interior panels with the chrome louvers or just the chrome sliders that say "open" and "closed".

Thanks for your help in this endeavor.
