Original Early HiPo Exhaust
« on: March 23, 2012, 02:19:15 PM »
Here is my latest Blog post.  This one shows an original early transverse dual exhaust system on a June 1964 production 289 HiPo coupe.

Jeff,
Note the FoMoCo in the oval and the date code. A change in Ford trademarks may not be as simple as a date, they may have used both the rectangle and oval formats at the same time on different parts.

A word of caution, the part numbers referenced in the Ford Car Parts books are replacement items used by dealerships at the time of the publication, 1975, and not necessarly what was factory installed (note the D1AZ-5A231-C clamps, a 1971 part for a 1965 exhaust). The diagrams however are fairly good to use for your own car's assembly.

Thanks for post Brant

Love the "includes Shelby GT350" also  ;) on the 75 version of the MPC

The type of script used might be the results of different suppliers/sub contractors again

Have examples of that one through 11-65

Here are some more examples
