Easy to find Ed's car (google) hard to see a delete plate !

Thanks Mark!  You are right, it is hard to see the 'Delete' Plate.  I have a 79 Mustang Cobra, which is radio delete.  I have a black antenna delete block, but did not know if that was correct or not.  I have seen 79 Fairmont's with the Chrome delete block.  I like the black better but did not know what is concours correct?

I looked at all of my pictures of Ed's car and I didn't have a clear one of the delete plate but nothing looked shiny in the pictures. I would bet that it is black but I can't confirm it. I was hoping to get some more pictures at Pensacola but Ed didn't make it this year. I was hoping I had his email address but I couldn"t find it.

I just got a e mail from Mr. Griddle he stated the fender JUST doesn't have a hole and the delete plate is Camera case with two screws holding in place where the knobs would be.

Wow, you have a '77 Mustang convertible?  I have been around Mustangs a long time, and have never heard of a 2nd generation convertible.  I Googled '77 Mustang convertible. and one showed up on allfordmustangs.com.  It is yellow and the owner said it's 1 of 44 made. That's amazing.  Some company in FL done the conversions. That is awesome.  What color is yours?

Hi. Yeah, they did these like they did the eary fox bodies but instead of sending them to ASC for the conversion, they sent them to Emess Coachbuilders in Largo Florida. They were then sent to the dealers for sale. Mine was sold at a dealership n Peoria Illinois. It is white with a white top and red and white interior. It is all original but sat outside under a tree for a while before I found it. It is solid but needs a resto. When things get better I will do a full concours on it like we did with my King Cobra. 44 is the number that I have heard on them too but I haven't been able to verify it.. Emess went out of business in '77 from what I have heard so that may explain the low numbers. I would like to get Marti to see how many '77 have a ship to of Emess but I don't have the money for their research time right now. So far, I think I have seen six. Pictures of five and mine is the only one I have seen in person. There are three red, two yellow, on my white one. All of them started as coupes except one of the yellow ones that was a Ghia according to the VIN.  I will check this one out and see if I can contact the owner. Thanks for the heads up.

I think I officially joined in 1986. That's about the time I got involved with going to shows. It wasn't until 1990 that I actually began showing my 76 Ghia.

Saw a black Mustang II conv. up to Carlise this year.  I think they have some pictures over on MustangII.net
Looks like a home make one but he did great job. the dash and the bumpers have been worked on too.
