Sequential Tail Light Feature
« on: March 07, 2012, 12:05:55 PM »
My early, #89 GT350 does not have the sequential tail light feature. Is this correct? Did all 67 and on Shelby's have this feature?

What year are you asking about 67,68,or 69?  67 GT350 did not have sequentials . 68 did typically but some didn't because of extenuating circumstances. 69/70 GT350 had sequentails. As I asked on the Shelby forum you posted on where was your car sold new ?

Well, I am wrong about the tail lighta and markers on my 67 GT350, #89. The tail lights are sequential and the markers blink when the turn signal is engaged. I think I missed them because they are dim and it was fairly bright outside. So,since the 67 models did not come with sequential lights and blinking markers, it must have been modified by one of the previous 2 owners? Sorry for the error.

The 67 GT350 was shipped to Northwestern Motorcar Co. in Milwaukee, WI and sold there. Also, where is the sequencer unit located? Is there a Ford part number on the unit?
Since non on a 67 you might look in the 68 location which is in far corner on the driver side in the area where the taillight wire harness turns to go across the metal tail panel. 68 Shelby unique sequential unit does not have conventional ford engineering number.

Your car doesn't have one so don't worry about checking for it ;)
