Ok, I'm putting my top frame together, on the car now. The most rearward segment of the frame on each side, is the focus of this question.
When the frame piece is in the up position, and adjusted to the correct dimension between it and the "hockey-stick" chrome piece, It looks great.
The weatherstrip appears to terminate at the correct place just below the quarter glass at the bottom. The little rubber deflector is in a logical position to help the wind deflect water in a direction that will not wet anything that will be harmed.
BUTTT.... when the frame piece folds into its' down position, the weatherstrip bottom end "WADS-UP" against the sheet metal that makes the "BOX" that the frame retracts into.
There is a horseshoe shaped area in the sheet metal, just below the # 38, that is recessed about 1/4" where the stuff wads-up.
Q: Anyone have an unrestored picture of this area?
