I actually need one of those too.  Someone was making those in their garage and getting $35 dollars a pop for them.  I can't remember if I saw them here or over on the Vintage Ford Mustang website.
According to the 64 Electrical Assembly Manual (which we know is a work of dubious authenticity), AM0003, pg23, the clamp is part of the battery ground cable assembly, C2OF-14301-B, and its part number is at best unknown, and if you go to page 24 of the same book, view B shows the clamp installation for the solenoid to starter cable. (Whew.)

I think the determination for one bracket or two depends on the cable assembly part number. If it's a C5xxx, it requires two, if it's a C6xxx, it requires one. The transistion date is sometime in late 1965 or early 66 and probably is plant specific. My 66 "K", San Jose Oct 65 build, had the C5xxx cable with two brackets. The cable assembly was made in Canada and the brackets and insulator (and woven sleeve) were part of the assembly and Ford service apparently did not stock them separately.

The engine is black, what are you seeing that is blue?  The car only has 4,500 original miles.

Jim,the color on my monitor must be off some because I can't distinquish blue paint anywhere . It all looks black. Some areas are shinier then others but still appears black. Would you mind explaning where you are seeing the blue paint?

I can assure you 100%, without a doubt, that there is no blue paint on this engine.  I've spent considerable time observing this car.  It's a great reference piece that illustrates a lot of assembly line transition components from generator to alternator production.

In regards to the "shiny" bracket, that is simply a consequence of the ultra low mileage of this car and I can also assure you that the bracket is original.

My 66 is NOT original.  The clamps are repops.  There is two, and should only be one.
I can't remember if I replaced the cable with a repop or not, I think so.
BUT THE HEAT SHEATH IS WHITE WITH A BLACK STRIPE ON MINE AND IT IS ORIGINAL.
