'65 Convertible window hold up strap

I am getting ready to (have created) and install a correct strap that goes in the center of the top frame in the rear just above the real vinyl window-according to Charles my July 1965 Dearborn car should have one-my top frame was replaced during the restoration and there is NO hole for the screws that attach this strap.
I have seen both an elastic and a leather-looking strap in pictures and in person, can anyone tell me for sure which one would be correct for my car? Thanks!

The elastic style is correct.  I thought Mike Murray took a picture for you?

Yea, I went ahead and re-registered on that forum......doesn't feel the same over there......not real interested in participating too much.......
