Topic: C6OE-C and C6OE-G fan differences

I picked up a C6OE-C fan yesterday.

The information I could find indicates the C6OE-C and -G fans are interchangeable (same # of blades, same overall OD, same clutch interface).

Wondering if anyone knows what the differences are between the two?

Believe it was the size and shape of the blades.  The Bob Mannell book has info on this.

Bob Mannell's book shows a different design for the two blades (Appx F, PG F7, Design 9 and 11). The Ford Car Parts book makes these notations for the C6OA-C fan - "Integral A/C", "First 1000 units" and "used w/C4AZ-8A618-A" clutch. The dimensions are listed as 17 1/2 in dia and 2 3/8 in dia center hole. That was on full size Fords in 1965 and 66. The only reference for Mustang was the C6OE-G fan for 66 thru 68 (65 lists the same service P/N but no marking info), same dimensions as the -C.
Note: the -G was used on the 68 GT-350 so sell it on the Shelby forum and make a killing.

Thanks.  I ordered a copy of the book this afternoon.

I'm not happy with the performance of the repro hipo fan I have on the car now, so I thought I would try something different.  Need more airflow at idle, especially with AC on.

I sure am happy my prayers were answered when I bought a C6OE-G with OE clutch for a really good price this morning...proof that "God's Not Dead!" (PS, a really good movie too!)  Very Pleased   (as long as it comes in good condition...whoops, might have jinxed myself)

I just took one of these off my car as it was not correct and was added to help cool it better with the AC on...
