Topic: Sharkhide Metal Protector

Has anyone tried using Sharkhide Metal Protector as a coating on natural parts.  Their claims seem to be a little to good to be true.

I'm thinking about ordering a can to try but would like others input first.

Its a good product, on par with Boeshield. I think its more expensive though

Interesting article thanks for posting. One interesting note s that they tested only the spray forms of the products in many cases rather than the liquid forms. The CorrosionX and CorrosionX HD results are different from my experiences but then again I was not coating and will not be exposing my cars to the moisture nor salt water as in the tests


NOTE POSTED 12/2016: Be aware that this product can have a negative affect on rubber products. Something that has been noticed over long term usage

what method of application do you use for CorrosionX?  You warm the part with a small torch until all the water evaporates and then apply in liquid form or spray?  If liquid do you use a brush or rag or something?

I purchased the product in the gallon form. I heat the part and poor the product over the part then as it cools place it in a plastic tray/tub where it sits, draining the extra from the surface and crevices. Then every time I think of it I'll use a brush to apply the product back over the surface. Once I think its got a good covering I'll place the part in a plastic bag (think freezer bags) until I need it.

Wipe it off and put it on the car.
