Anyone ever hear of this. Was this a special run of coupes for the NW dealers?

Yes have heard of them and seen a few

All had Y5 (gold with hood black out stripes) and ordered through special order number 741111

Also they appear to have all been built in Jan - Feb 68 at San Jose

Of course a Marti report will tell you if a particular car was one from the beginning

Jeff the one I saw pictures of was gold and had black hood stripes from the turnsignal hood back to the rear edge of the hood. Also had a gold interior but it seemed it had green carpeting????

There was also a High Country Special and Cardinal Special in 68. The Cardinal Specials are pretty hard to find, they are all red with black interior to appear similar to an actual cardinal.... mainly for the NC and VA markets. They also have a diamond shaped logo applied to the pillars with a cardinal head on them.
