1966 Dearborn 6 Cylinder Rear Differential

Here's a picture of my rear differential off my May 1966 Dearborn Convertible 200 w/C4. Found a Large "3" on top. Looks like a large white daub or something in middle and then two numbers in like a light blue. I think 38 but not sure. If anyone has any idea or something similar let me know. Tag  was stamped WCY-R,  2.83   6EB   903

OK finally finished cleaning up my 6 cylinder rear carrier. Posted pictures of markings found and next to it an enhanced using paint as to make it easier to see. Not sure about all of them. If anyone has any idea's let me know. Also soaked my gear cover in evaporust but did not find anything. Was wondering what finish would have been on it as I didn't find any paint either. Black? Red oxide? Natural?

Dave-  MY January '65 Dearborn axle had black paint on the rear gear cover.  Not much was remaining, just a little left in the corners.  Thanks for sharing the photos.  BTW-Here is mine back in the car.  :)
