Yes Jeff,
It's kind of like...no-one in church (including the preacher) has any business knowing who give what amount.  If they do,
they begin to treat folks differently depending on contributions.

I tend to find that in that situation the ones that give the least often get the most attention/benefits while those that give more may be doing so because they have already been blessed (they are often the ones giving the most of their time also)

Contributions made to the forum through the donations link in the menu bar are acknowledged through paypal and by me changing your profile to reflect your donator status.


I hope to have this more automated in the near future. I have been terribly busy most of the year and have not kept up as well as I should.


If you've made a donation and do not see a change within a day or so, don't hesitate to email me. There are times when I do not check in for days but I always get my email.


Donations made to Jeff's paypal are not reflected on the board through the automated process. Jeff can change your member status
upon receipt of your donation.

The number grows as you post or become promoted to staff. This is a screen grab from the admin area. It will clear it up for you.


Yes, we need to change the subscriber levels to better suit their contributions. Feel free to suggest changes.

Sluggo tells me we have changed the routing of the DONATION button on the web site so that it can be used to support the Photo Project also. Just make sure when making donations if its for the overall site or for the Photo Project. If you don't you'll be getting a PM to ask

    What happened to the "donations" button? I've got 9 buttons across the top of the main page:

Didn't the donations button used to be here, I've used it in the past but that was before the last upgrade or did it get moved somewhere else?

I have a few Visa gift cards with small amounts of funds left on them.  Is there any way I can use them to donate to CMF?  Correct me if I'm wrong, I only see PayPal as means to donate now.  Thanks for the education I'm about to receive

Currently only set up for Paypal through the site. Sorry

As long as you have a paypal account, should be able to add the visa cards to the account and send a paypal using them.

Why is Ford so stingy with these pictures?  One would think that all of these pictures should be available by Public Domain from the Henry Ford museum in Dearborn.  I mean, It has been 46 years for God's sake.

I'm sure someone realizes the value,  to some, of the pieces

If they were available in the public domain it would be nice but I can't always agree that other peoples property should be free,  though the internet is raising a new generation that sure feels that way  

Sure the kids in the neighborhood would like to have the right to borrow my cars anytime they wanted to - heck they have been around just as long as the pictures

Just a thought
