At least some of the data in this data-base must have come from  the www.earlymustang.com website/data-base.  The reason I say that is there was an incorrect Trim Code listed for my car on that site and the same mistake is on the "In Search of Mustangs" data-base referenced here.

There is also a lady named Veronica at www.allfordmustangs.com who has a large data-base started too.

It would be really nice to get all of the data combined into one place!
The "In Search" project is about 30 years old so consider that in any data inconsistenties.

I'll hijack this thread a little and ask the question, is it possible to track a DSO code from the VIN data?  My tag is missing and that is the only piece of data the I don't have.  Thanks.

John
No Ford assembly line production data, including DSO, exists for Mustangs built prior to 1967. My suggestion is to be creative.

Veronica and I collaborated on her list. We noticed some inconsistencies between differing source data, but since it was older and we couldn't contact the owners, we couldn't verify which version was correct and which might have been a typo.

The date is easiest to guess at. Other features, like the DSO, axle, transmission and color are anybody's guess.

I've heard about a report called I believe 999 which Ford can run for current owners of a car. Does it not give you information which would have been on door tag or original window sticker?

Like the Marti Reports - it covers only 67 and up cars (pulled from the same data base just not to the same depth) does include the info that would have been on the door tag but at times as been less than perfect - especially if you ask about more then one car at a time ;)
