What color and where can I purchase some to cover/fill the hole for the bumper guard on my '65 GT?

Would have been either dark gray or black.  Go with black if you don't know for sure.

Charles, The guys used a gray colored caulk on the front fenders which you might remember.......think I should match that or something completely different?

Not sure, you might want to try to find some original Unrestored cars close in production to yours to make the best choice.

Hopefully it wasn;t that light gray "NOS" or AMK stuff ;)

Here is the best I can offer from an original Dearborn 65-66 GT car (happens to be a 66)

Hope it helps

I have (had) three 65 and 66 GT Fastbacks all San Jose build and all use the black caulk. Try NPD p/n 903-1 $17.95 for some 3/16 X 60 ft in 12 inch strips. It's made by 3M p/n 051135-08578.

Check with a local body shop, they'll probably give you a strip.

C5ZZKGT,
Are you going to Silver Springs this Jan?  I'll bring you a foot long piece of black 3M caulking.  You're right, they sell a package with 50' more than you will ever use!!  Let me know, I'll see you there!
