Paint OK stamps

Did Dearborn built 68's get " Paint OK " or with a name added on a second line on the fenders and cowl.

No - not normally . Just stickers


Now there appears to have been a short period at Dearborn in 68  (very late in the year) where they used the 64 and earlier style baseball diamond stamp for the paint and electrical testing check marks as well as stickers, but its the oddity nor anywhere near the typical practice during the rest of the year.

So does the P sticker stands for Paint, the E for Electrical, B for Body, F for Frame???

I have always understood the F to stand for Fit. Bob
