Brant - what panel is the one date (I believe this is the latest sheet metal date stamp on 6S033. It is June 21, 1965.) on?Thanks - just adding to my tracking
On the front lip of the where the upper and lower cowl come together in the engine bay is usually a date stamp in the middle. It would normally get covered by the self-leveling sealer. I've found that date to be one of the latest sheet metal dates on other cars I've restored.
Thanks Brant - you appear to be finding what we would expect on that period of San Jose cars. As usual might be missing a few numbers from the frame area for the fenders (typical)Did you find the writting on the front cross member or the taillight panel? To name a couple of locations
Jeff,That's about it on the markings on the body. I did not find anything on the tail light panel area. Here is the radiator support. It is like most I have seen.
Thanks for the pics. Looks like a little rust pitting on the bottom to contend with, but looking really nice.
I just made another post with quite a few detailed images of 6S033.http://blog.virginiaclassicmustang.com/2011/09/1966-gt350-shelby-mustang-restoration_23.html
