68 Clip but for what?
« on: July 31, 2011, 11:49:32 PM »
I found this clip and can't remember what it for. Is this the clip which holds the metal vacume line from the moduale to the transmissions bellhousing? Half metal and half plastic. Metal portion stamped with an opening to accept a bolt.

Normally seen on a four speed trans where it is bolted to the forward bolt of the shifter control adapter plate. It holds the reverse light wire from flopping loose as it is routed running on the top side of the four speed transmission. Hard to find original until the last year or so. FYI NPD has repros in their catalog now. Not sure about Virginia. I have not seen that used on a C6. There is a similar all metal clip on a C6 which holds a metal tube line. Bob

The only old mustang 4 speeds were the Boss 302's. Maybe from the first one which was a real project. I was hoping it was the clip to hold the vacume line. Still can't find that one. Thanks for the help.
