The heavy duty pop type rivet requires a special tool that is pretty pricey to buy. I can't remember if it was 400.00 or 1400.00 ether way it is price prohibitive especially if you only plan to use it once or twice. AMK who sell the rivets will also rent the tool to install them . Or at least they used to. I have a shop in KC that does it but he will not rent out the tool. He will only do it in his shop. The adhesive is like the vette type bond but has a distinctive orangish color which some people will tint the adhesive of choice to mimic the look. It should be squeezing out the sides to varying degrees around the perimeter because of the compressing the clamping force of the rivets puts on the ram air structure. That is if you want it to look like AO Smith did it. This clamping of the two pieces with adhesive and rivets was done after the hood was painted which makes for a more interesting procedure. Not
. At least that is what I remember the last time I had to have one done a few years back. Bob
