67 GT350 EMBLEM LOCATIONS
« on: November 08, 2009, 08:50:11 PM »
Hi all:

Im hoping someone knows the approx. locations of the emblems for a 67 GT350. My Shelby has inbords and Im ready to reinstall all of the emblems and badges. Any help would be much appreciated.

Jim, I don't have the SA blue prints of the exact measurements and their reference points scaned so I can't post them just now. However Branda sells a manual with smaller versons of the same blue prints if you want exact measurements. You can go by photos like we used to do from old original pictures but that would be a good guess and the blue prints show exact. This manual would be a wise investment to save time in verifying various aspects of your GT350 restoration and I would suggest it's purchase to anyone doing a 67 Shelby restoration. Bob

Not sure if this will help, but this is a recently found original paint car (with inboards):

The reprint of the available blue prints will provide you with the correct location for the dash, trunk and grill. Fender emblem location is not provided in the copy I have and looking through the scanned blueprints I have I don't see then either so I offer the following - hope it helps

Taken from the bottom - looks to be 10 5/8" to the bottom mounting hole

Lower mounting hole

Upper mounting hole

Would (as always) double check against other references

Bob, Jeff and Caspian:

Thank you for the help on the badges! I see so many Shelbys where the badges look horribly wrong with the way they get installed after a restore.
Heading out to the garage now to get them on.

Btw Caspian what a great find with that GT350!

While we're on 67 Shelby's a related subject would be the side stripe. I know this bugs Bob (as well as others of us) so please take notice of how the front fender decal (GT350 and center section of the stripe) is applied in the picture Charles provided. You will see hundreds of 67's applied incorrectly like what was done in 65, 66 and 68.

Just a heads up

Thank you guys!

Great help. Side emblems went on great. Ready to install the deck lid and front grill emblem. I have outboards so im not really sure where the emblem goes on the front grill and deck lid. Any ideas?

Thanks again!
