Not sure if they originally had peel and stick on them but think many restorers were like to have it there just to save a step and those picky guys ;) would likely overlook the improvement

+1, It would be very convenient to have a peel and stick surface, but either way would ultimately be fine.

I've placed an order with a manufacturer.  I won't see a pre-production sample until approximately 10 August so it'll probably be another month before I have the pads in stock and ready for sale.  They'll be 3.5" x 1.5" x 1.25" and made from black SCE-43 closed cell neoprene sponge rubber with adhesive.

I'm still waiting for my manufacturer to come through.  I rejected the first proofs because of a quality issue and they had to start over.  I hope to have the second proofs soon.

I received my second set of production samples yesterday and gave approval to produce the full order.  I hope to have the pads in stock within a week.

I have the pads in stock and ready to go!  I'll post a "for sale" topic in the appropriate forum in a moment.
