Topic: Attaching Shifter Rod to Shifter, '69 with FMX

I'm slowly piecing together a June 5th, 1969 Metuchen Mach 1.  It's a 351 car with the FMX automatic.  When I got the car, it was disassembled, and poorly at that.

To make a long story short, what mounts the arm on the bottom of the shifter to the transmission shifter rod?  I know the rod is slotted for adjustment, but I have no idea what should've gone there originally.  It would have to be some sort of slotted bolt/pin that would fit the slot in the transmission rod, or so I would think.  I was looking at Toploader parts, and this looks a lot like what I need: http://www.toploaderheaven.com/shifter_parts/shifter_parts.htm

The "trunions" listed in the first link look like they might work.  Am I on the right track?  And please, if anyone has a picture of the shifter rod/mechanism on an FMX car, that would be great!

They attach basically the same way all the Mustang autos did to the shifting arm. Yes the trunions serve the purpose and provide the ability to adjust the position
