Rear bumper date code.

Jan 30 Monroe Plant 1967?  I thought on sheetmetal, the last digit designated the shift?

Does this indicate the car came with a GOODYEAR spare tire?

At some point. Don't think we can assume that it has to be the original to leave that imprint but might be

I was thinking the sealant must have been pretty fresh/soft to leave that deep imprint?  Would the original tires have been Goodyears?

Could be wiDe oval? I believe that was standard equipment on 67. Very cool find.

It appears some of the exhaust may be original?  I didn't find a date code and don't know if there would be any?

What is the part number for a 67 390 Exhaust down turn? I couldn't find one.

I find it interesting how the stamping is so thin on the one end but so deep on the other and how the horseshoe clamp is tightened unevenly. Whoever did that wasn't thinking 'concours'.  ;)

Not sure on 67's, but on several 68's I've had, a buildsheet was folded up and taped to the wiring harness just behind the insturment cluster....

Sounds like a NJ car ;)

Rodster,

Your exhaust is definitely original.

Below is a photo of an NOS tip showing the entire C7ZA number.

The tailpipe will be stamped in two places, one on the straight section and one on the bend.

The tailpipe in the photo is one that I made, not an original.  I can make you a perfect copy of the tip with number if you need a pair.
