Topic: 67 Dearborn cowl 'tag'

Has anyone ever seen a tag like this?  It's punched with some numbers/letters like a buck tag. There is a tag on the DS and the PS cowl under the sealant.

They were doing that in '65 also.  My best guess is that Dearborn used it to check different stages of the car through the assembly process, just like the punch-outs on a Metuchen buck-tag.

That's kind of what I figured but don't remember seeing them too often?  Are they as common as the NJ buck tag?

Seen a lot of cars with them ripped off and a bare edge showing.  Pretty typical of Dearborn cars to have them or have remnants where they were.
