From what I've seen this clip applies to PS on 351C cars and Boss 302s in 1970.
The PS pumps and brackets are different than Windsors or BBF.

If it fits anything else I'd like to know.

The clip looks like the one in the "1970 Mustang Chassis Assembly Manual" (AM0035) page 80, lower right hand corner, which has a Ford engineering part number of D0OA-3E506-A (note - number "0" and letter "O") . It does not appear to have any attaching hardware (like a screw).
Applications are Mustang and Cougar with 351W engines.

I think you mean 351C? [edit -- guess not]

The pump bracket is very different on 351W v. 351C because of the location of the pressure port.
The can, 3A674, is very different for the same reason.
The high side hose is also different due to the larger size of the outlet port and length difference where the two tubes converge.

I see the same picture was used for both installations but that's not right.
Can any of the 351W guys verify this clamp is used on both?

Page 81 is the 351C installation.

For 1970 the F, G, H, and M code power steering stuff is the same, except that the 302 and 351W engines, each, have a different front adjusting bracket. Both engines use the same pump and pump mounting brackets.
The 428CJ, and I believe 6 cylinders still used the 1967-69 pump and aluminum pump mounting brackets. I could be wrong on the 6 cylinder engines though.

Are we sure all the small block '70 power steering stuff are the same? I know that on my G code BOSS, the pump mounting bracket that bolts to the pump has a slightly different shape where the hose attaches on the rear, the outlet hose has a different fitting, and the return pipe nipple faces a different direction.

I see where I neglected to turn the page in the 70 Chassis Manual. The same "clip" is also used on 351 C engines.
The attached picture is what I found in my odds and ends box. It was soaked in old carb cleaner to remove paint and crud, tumbled in brake shoe filings to remove any rust and sprayed with WD-40 as a preservative.
There's one on e-bay for $49 plus shipping. I think I can "beat" that price.
If interested, send me a PM.

Right. The pump bracket is different, the can and inside pump is offset, the outlet fitting is much bigger and the hose is different. The 70 PS drag link is also different than the other years. It is larger in diameter than even the 69 drag link.

I chronicled all of that here:

Bill, after approximately April 1/69  1969 production Boss Mustangs and Shelby's with heavy duty suspension which were typically cars equipped with the wider F6015 tires all got the larger tie rod ends which required different draglink and spindles.

I gather both manual and PS got bigger then ?

I had a heck of a time finding the larger drag link ...

Thanks, Bob.

I am admittedly not well versed on 1970 differences however I think most if not all 1970 Mustangs changed over to the larger tie rods so the donor pool should be comparatively large.

I have noticed there is a hole in some clips and not in the the one I have , would this just be a vendor variance , or revision change , assembly plant difference ?
Thanks Will
