WTB: 1970 Boss 302 Oil Pan
« on: March 13, 2025, 01:09:40 PM »
I am looking for a 1970 Boss 302 oil pan (D0ZZ-6675-A). I am not concerned with the date code; I just want to make sure it is the right oil pan.

THANKS for looking!

Walter

Good morning. As everyone gets ready for MCA National in Orlando, please keep a lookout for a 70 B2 oil pan that you would be willing to sell.

THANK YOU in advance!

Hello,
So, what is the difference between a 1969 Boss 302 oil pan and a 1970 part?  Besides the date...!

Shape and the reliefs in the bottom of the pan for better clearance for the inner tie rods on a 70

70 Style (some early 70's have been found with the 69 version)

BTW Marcus did an article on the oil pans and differences if you want to check his site for more in depth information and pictures

From what I have seen the change over date on when the cars went from the 1969 pan to the 1970 pan is late November to early December.

Hello,
So the baffle part is the same for the two years and the pan itself the difference?   I better check into this closer!  If the baffle part is different, then is the oil pick-up different?
