Looking for acceptable tie rods for 1970 Mach
« on: February 25, 2025, 10:39:43 AM »
Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase a set of tie rods? They don?t have to be originals, because I have no intention of paying $1,000. However, I was wondering if someone sells some that would be acceptable to judges, or, at the very least, appear to be more correct? Thanks!

I would suggest if you end up with a aftermarket set which sounds like that you may and if they have holes for grease zerts that you fill them with grease good and then take a allen plug and thread flush into the zert opening. You can cover with some epoxy to disguise the hole so it doesn't show. Grease zerts and their corresponding opening would be a small deduction. But they all add up. ;)
