I have looked through the old posts and library but could not find a clue to what this little bracket is for on a Dearborn mid- April 65 K code near and above the choke cable hole in the firewall thanks and merry Christmas to all.

A past owner added bracket. Could possibly be for a carb throttle return spring.

The holes in the firewall the bracket was bolted to are pre-punched like the other ones shown with the yellow tape pictured, whatever the bracket came from originally  fit perfect .
