I meant red oxide primer followed by grey primer,  then finally body color.  And I'm assuming red oxide, then grey primer, and finally body color such as my Sahara beige color was used on the hinges also.  All 3 steps.

Since the hinges were sort of behind the forward edge of the door (front fenders not installed at the time) the focus was on the exterior surface of the door not the A pillar/side of the cowl or in the forward door jamb so can't be certain how much light grey got in there but yes well coated with red oxide and body color typically for an attempt of full coverage. Should be bad since it didn't take any or much effort to bend down for those surfaces. Areas like bottom of doors--- not so much

Yeah that explains it regarding the hinges.   I always thought it was red oxide exterior and interior of the car, but keep noticing the inner panels having grey primer where the parchment paint is missing. Maybe under grey primer is red oxide on the interior, but where bare metal is shown on the inner doors, only grey and parchment color.  Probably Factory or PO restoration.  When I got the car it just had that original interior smell.
