428CJ Valve cover OK ink stamp

I tried to search and found nothing but I'm sure there's something out there. Anyway, I'm looking for a source for the OK ink stamp for the front of the driver side valve cover. This is for a Feb. 14th built San Jose 428 SCJ with the aluminum valve covers. I understand that there are a few different variations on this stamp. Is there any rhyme or reason on "correctness"?

The stamp your looking for is not specific to San Jose plant since it was applied at the engine plant. Will move this over to the 69 section for more eyes to see it.

There are a number of OK valve cover stamps used at the engine plant that assembled the 428 CJs though the one Jack offers is the most common IMO. The other versions might have been assigned to inspectors that filled in for the current ones and may have been regular inspectors in prior years based on other patterns we've seen.

On engines from other plants and other years the size and design can differ some so for others seek out the best available rather than settle for just close  ;)  Someone will notice  ::)

Lets start with when your car was assembled at San Jose or better yet when the engine was built at the engine plant. That should help get closer to look for other examples around the same time period maybe depending on how many examples and if, from that time period.   Though as mentioned the most commonly copied one will likely not raise any question.

Your choice.

To share here is the other commonly found OK valve cover stamp used by inspectors at the FE engine plant. Notice the box design around the outer edges of the lettering. The ink/paint didn't hold up on the chrome or cast valve covers as well as the painted ones

That is the one that I have seen most on CJ valve covers. The font and size are different then the box. I have a stamp like the one Jack sells but would like to get a correct OK in the box if anyone has a stamp and size to share in a post ????

My car was built in San Jose on Feb. 14th however it does not have the original engine. It does have a date code correct engine but I'm not sure if I've got a pic of the assembly date stamp.

+1 . The one on Jacks website is the one not in the box. It is a different font size then the one in the box. The one in the box is the most typical for 428CJ IMO. The one without the box is more typical on Boss 302 however it has been seen on some FE engines.
