Do all sizes of Autolites come with red colored caps? I thought I was told years ago they had different colors for different sizes. 24 verse 27. Any pics of old or NOS batteries?

As mentioned there is a few threads on the subject and the main ones are fairly massive. Most focus on the pre 68 style since those are not being reproduced.
And there are more than two sizes that were used.

The different color and identification related to those color caps is a by product of the replacement/service battery supply not size.

Do a little search and allot of scanning through the treads. You will see a lot more pictures and information that way

The short answer is that they can. The colors had to do with battery capacity and not size. I assume from past posts that you are most concerned about the group 27. Red was the most typical production car version. There were 2 distinct styles/shapes of red caps that were used during the 68-70 production period. I believe I posted some pictures in previous threads.
