GT350 distributor markings
« on: October 23, 2024, 11:41:43 PM »
Wondering what markings would be typical on a distributor 1/16/1969 build GT350 automatic convertible
Would i expect to find numbers stamped and a casting number?
Thanks,
Tom

To give you an idea of where the markings/stampings Bob posted are located and the small thin vacuum advance that would have been attached as well as a few more details

I looked that up and come up with a 351 2V.....One post says Bronco distributor.  The 12131 is, IIRC, the bare casting for a dizzy.   The actual number is as Bob and Jeff posted, 12127.   Ford uses repeating numbers in that position, 12127 are all distributors  The Prefix and Suffix tells Decade, Year, product line, change revision.....
